The Carrot, scientifically known as Daucus carota, is a biennial herbaceous plant with a height ranging from 16cm to 78cm. It originated in the Mediterranean region and thrives in environments with full sun exposure and rocky, arid soils. The plant's climate preference is warm and temperate. In its second year of life, it develops a long stalk that supports a crown of white flowers from May to December. The edible part of the carrot is its orange root, which offers several health benefits such as anti-inflammatory properties, anti-tumor activity, anemia and ulcer treatment, and relief for intestinal issues. Additionally, it is used in cosmetics for its ability to enhance tanning and hydrate the skin. Despite these positive attributes, carrots have been traditionally associated with falsehood in popular culture for unknown reasons.
