The Cappadocian Maple (Acer cappadocicum), a native to Eastern Europe and Asia, grows between 2m to 15m in height. Often found in hill and mountain forests, it thrives in temperate and cool climates. Known for its vibrant autumn colours and dense summer foliage, this maple species is commonly planted in urban areas as an ornamental tree. First introduced to Great Britain in 1838, the Cappadocian Maple is unique among maples as it can regenerate from around the trunk's base. Its native range extends from the Caucasus and inland Turkey to the Himalayas.
