It thrives in humid mountain forests at elevations of 1,600 to 2,200 meters. The tree, also called Red Fir, features grey bark that turns red with age. It prefers deep, humid soils on moderate slopes and can tolerate shade but grows best in sunlight. Its wood has only recently been utilized for commercial purposes. Model specifications are 35 meters for Model 1, 20 meters for Model 2, and 5.5 meters for Model 3.
