Woodworking blade, adze blade. Basaltic rock from the Andes. XFP-141, Elma Island in Alaska's Sanak Islands. XFP-141-45. 340 to 540 years ago. XFP-141 is a site with seven big house depressions. It has many parts. Most of the site dates back either 1000 to 1160 years or 340 to 540 years. These artifacts were scanned using a Faro Edge Arm or Minolta Vivid 9i. Processed in Geomagic and Polyworks software. 4 to 8 photos were used for texture in Geomagic Wrap. The Sanak Island artifacts are results of research conducted under grants NSF 0326584, NSF 0508101, NSF 1139266, NSF 1321411. H. Maschner is the lead researcher. Original digitizing work done at Iditarod University's Institute for Village Life. Further processing completed at Global Digital Heritage. Fieldwork and analysis were conducted with permission from the Pauloff Harbor Tribe and Sanak Corporation.
