Xfinity/Ryobi 18V battery to Milwaukee Impact screwdriver adapter
thingiverse
I scored a Milwaukee M18 CID impact screwdriver that was left over from an auction tool sale, minus the battery or charger. Luckily, I had a large stash of Aldi 18v packs, so all I needed was a permanently attached adapter. Also, I added a 470K resistor to the B+ line to enable the motor - usually this is a 3.3v logic signal, but I used a high value that shouldn't cause any issues (it also works fine with 1M, so I halved it). If you're worried about problems, use a 3.3v regulator. The model could have been designed better to cover the old battery slot - I don't care much about aesthetics, but it is functional and adds about 15mm to the handle length. I used 12 gauge wires, which are around 3.2mm in diameter. You can find more details on imgur at https://imgur.com/a/AebR1.
