Xeon Phi passive-to-active cooling adapter / blower fan shroud

Xeon Phi passive-to-active cooling adapter / blower fan shroud

thingiverse

This is a simple adapter for Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors that turns passive cooling into active cooling. It allows users to connect a blower fan to the Phi and significantly increase its cooling capacity. This is particularly useful in systems where passively cooled devices like Nvidia Tesla P100 or V100 GPUs would otherwise require too much power. This adapter was designed specifically for the Xeon Phi 5110P and Sunon PMB1212PLB1-A blower fan combination. Two versions are available: a straight adapter that keeps the blower in line with the Phi, and a curved adapter that places it alongside the Phi. Choose the straight version if you have enough space to fit the blower length-wise, or the curved version for width-wise installation. Note: Due to the high airflow and power consumption of these fans, they must be connected directly to a standard molex connector - not to the motherboard.
