Xenophora, commonly referred to as carrier shells, is a genus of medium-sized to large seasnails, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Xenophoridae, known as carrier snails or carrier shells. The genus Xenophora serves as the type genus for its respective family Xenophoridae. Xenophora also happens to be the name given to the quarterly magazine of the French Conchologist Association. This scan originates from Oliver Laric's initiative 'threedscans'. It is a part of an ongoing project by Laric, titled 'Versions', which explores historical and contemporary ideas related to image hierarchies.
