Xena S Chakram

Xena S Chakram

thingiverse

I've created another design for Xena's Chakram, inspired by KnightwithoutFilament's Xena Chakram. I've taken a different approach, where the two halves of the Chakram separate and are held together with magnets. The model is available on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1940062. The design was printed with Silver PLA and then painted with copper and bronze metallic acrylic paint, which gives it a unique look. I've also included the whole model as well as the two separate halves. Please note that this design requires a larger print bed size. If you're interested in quarter pieces, let me know and I can generate those for you. If you decide to make one, please share a picture of your finished project. Here are the print settings: Printer: LulzBot TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .1mm Infill: 10% I've printed two halves and glued them together. I'm considering working on a version where the S part splits into two halves and is held together with magnets. This design was also printed using Silver PLA, but instead of gluing the parts together, I hand-painted the center parts and clear-coated over the paint. I'd love to hear more about your experience with 3D printing!
