XE25 T-link
thingiverse
This is a T connector for XE25 aluminium rails sold by Thorlabs. I used their Solidworks file of the XET1 component to derive the one I am providing here. I have cut the leg of the "T" and rotated it 180 degs on its long axis. The remixed item provides the possibility to link rails on the same (other than opposite) side. I used it to build a laser safety enclosure. In the pictures, you can also see I printed the XE25T4 nut, with the 3D model directly provided by Thorlabs. While I am grateful that Thorlabs provide their 3D CAD, I would discourage printing them as they will not really save time/money and will certainly be of lower quality. I have printed them because I did not have them around, and before getting metal ones, I wished to test the design. The bolts are standard M4 x 10 from Thorlabs KIT1/M.You can see I used the T-link system to suspend a reinforcing XE25 in an enclosure I am building for a light sheet microscope.
With this file you will be able to print XE25 T-link with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on XE25 T-link.
