Xduoo X2 DAP Case
thingiverse
After reading all the glowing reviews on this affordable DAP, I decided to buy one for myself and see if they live up to the hype - and boy do they! The built-in Headphone Amp sounds fantastic, but there's one major issue: its sleek aluminum finish makes it incredibly slippery, making it easy to drop. Unfortunately, the display sticks out further than the buttons, so any accidental drops are likely to scratch or break the screen before anything else. To address this problem, I designed a custom case for my DAP. This clever design ensures all the openings are easily accessible - including the Micro SD card slot, reset hole, and Micro USB port for charging and file transfer (which is specifically tailored to fit the stock plug that comes with it). Of course, there's also a convenient hole for the headphone jack. The front frame of this case attaches securely to the box using four 1/72" 18-8 Stainless Steel Cap Screws - which I happened to have on hand from another project. If you don't have access to these tiny screws, you may need to substitute with something similar. To ensure a snug fit, the parts are designed to be slightly oversized - but if you're printing in ABS like I did, scaling up the design by 1% will give you some room for shrinkage and make it easier to assemble the case onto your DAP.
