Izembek Point Base XCB-003-930.\nXCB-003, or IZM-003, is a site thoroughly examined by A.P. McCartney in 1971. It stands as the type-site for the Izembek Phase. A small village with an exceptional whalebone house and numerous artifacts closely resembling those found in the Bristol Bay region exists there. This site dates approximately to 1200-1350 CE.\nThe Alaska Peninsula artifacts are presented as a direct result of comprehensive research conducted under grants NSF 9630072, NSF 9814086, NSF 9996372, NSF 9996415, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner serves as the Principal Investigator for this project. These artifacts were scanned using either a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i. Processing was completed in Geomagic or Polyworks. Between 2-8 photos were utilized for texture in Geomagic Wrap. Original digitizing work was carried out at the IVL at Id. St. Univ., followed by subsequent processing and publication conducted at Global Digital Heritage.\nMcCartney, A.P. publishes Prehistoric Cultural Integration along the Alaska Peninsula in APUA 16(1):59-84 in 1974. 2.
