End Blade Base, Izembek Point XCB-003-150 is a site tested by A.P. McCartney in 1971 under the code name XCB-003 or IZM-003. It serves as the type-site for the Izembek Phase, featuring a small village with a unique whalebone house and numerous artifacts comparable to those found in the Bristol Bay region. Dating back to approximately 1200-1350 CE, these Alaska Peninsula artifacts were researched under grants NSF 9630072, NSF 9814086, NSF 9996372, NSF 9996415, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411. H. Maschner led the research as Principal Investigator. Two to eight photos were used in Geomagic Wrap for texture, scanned with a Faro Edge Arm or Minolta Vivid 9i. The original digitizing work was conducted at the IVL on Idaho State University's campus. Further processing and publication were completed at Global Digital Heritage. Research on this site is documented in McCartney's APUA article from 1974 and H. Maschner's Arctic Anthro publication, DOI 10.1353/arc.2011.0007, January 1, 2004, vol. 41, no. 2, pp. 98-111.
