XC Nordic SNS-Pilot / IFP-Ski Shim Plate
thingiverse
CROSS COUNTRY SKI BINDING INTERFACE INTERFACE is designed to mount a SNS-Pilot binding directly on an IFP-Ski. This ultralight interface weighs just 11g per ski and serves as both a mounting system and a jig for drilling holes in the skis. The rear shim comes in two sizes, small and large, with the latter required when cutting off the binding's rear end. Each position on the skis corresponds to a specific shim geometry, based on the IFP graduation: * Pos-2 is not compatible * Pos-1, 0, 1, and 2 are all compatible To use the interface, follow these steps: 1. Download the required shims (front and rear) and jig part for your ski position. 2. Place the shims on the skis, with the middle hole of the front shim showing the boot axis, and hold them in place using clamps. 3. Drill through the two holes of the jig part with a 3.6 drill bit. 4. Remove the jig part and drill through the front and rear shims to create holes for the binding. 5. Enlarge the holes with a 6mm drill bit. 6. Replace the shims on the skis and mount the SNS-Pilot binding on top. The interface can be printed in PETG or Nylon, and is designed for use on a 30cm length bed. The CAD file is available for modification if needed to accommodate your printer's precision.
