Xbox Adaptive Controller D-pad Replacement

thingiverse

This is a replacement D-pad designed specifically for the Microsoft Xbox Adaptive Controller. The stock D-pad, which can be tricky to manipulate with limited finger dexterity, has a smooth surface and lies in-line with the rest of the controller case. A 3D printed version of this part features tactile tips on each direction, making it easier to press down with fingers or other parts of the hand, including the palm. To install this replacement D-pad, you'll need to carefully disassemble the controller's case, which may void your warranty. The screws are located under four circular rubber discs at the bottom of the controller and can be removed using a T9 Torx screwdriver. Take care when doing so and note the placement of additional screws that will need to be removed once the case is open. In related news, making the icons on top of the XAC easier to read involves simply running a highlighter over them.
