XBox 360 PSU front cover for banana plugs
thingiverse
I made a modification to the power supply in my first revision XBox 360 console. The modified power supply is a highly versatile 12V unit that is incredibly powerful, capable of handling 16.5 amps with ease. Furthermore, it has no grounding issues and maintains an exceptionally stable voltage even when used for HAM radio purposes. I crafted a front panel attachment that can be securely fastened to the front of the console's case. From there, I connected the yellow and black wires to banana plug connectors, while the blue and red wire was attached to a switch. This ingenious setup allows the user to seamlessly transition the PSU from standby mode to power on mode. To accentuate the PSU's green/yellow LED light, I fabricated a supported pipe that directs it to the front of the panel. However, the existing design may not produce an ideal effect on its own; thus, it is advisable to incorporate an object within the pipe that facilitates light conductivity. The top cover of this attachment features air ventilation holes, ensuring that the intake vents on the PSU's front remain uncovered and functional.
