Xbox 360 Kinect Mount

Xbox 360 Kinect Mount

This is the complete overhaul of the mount originally designed by "jirisliz". His mount holds up well when printed in ABS, but the locking tabs that fit into the Kinect base can crack when printed in PLA. I was very impressed with his design, but then decided to rethink the entire mount so it could be printed in PLA. This new version of the mount is designed to print easily in PLA and weighs less than its predecessor. It also prints faster and uses fewer materials. You can download the STL file now and get started. The mount breaks down into three parts: 1 - The main body of the mount 2 - Two 4.5 mm wide bars that fit into grooves at the back of the mount body, adding extra strength by preventing layer separation. These bars should be glued into place using quick-setting epoxy. 3 - Two tabs that fit into holes on the base of the Kinect sensor. Glue these tabs in place with epoxy to make them stronger and less prone to breakage when printed in PLA. To remove the Kinect sensor, simply squeeze the mount from the front. In one of the photos, you can see this setup mounted on my basement pillar as a 3D scanner. I hope you guys will love it!
