Xbox 360 13400 battery
thingiverse
Remixed from the previously posted design by test3210 to use 13400 batteries, to have the TP4056 sit slightly higher and a redesigned top that I think works better. Credit to the original design as i couldn't do this from scratch.Parts list-2 x brass thumb tacksSome wire recovered from an old network cable2 x 13400 li-ion batteries recovered from disposable vapes found on the ground1 x TP4056 charger with protection (ebay)1 x 1117-3.3 voltage regulator (ebay)1 x the little circle of form recovered from the vapesA little bit of kapton tapeSolderSuperglueThe 3D printed partsConsidering most of this uses a tiny amount of stuff I have laying around, ebay items costing about 75p if you but them in packs of 10 and items picked up for free I think I've put this together for about £1.Start by printing the design. Cut the spike off both thumb tacks so you end up with something that looks like the tack in the top left of the pic showing the materials. Solder a wire to each long enough for it to just stick out case when the tacks with wires are inserted making note of which you will use for + and which will be -. Use the soldering iron on the tack to melt it into the case so the dome of the tack is almost flush (2nd picture). Solder the + tack to the output of the 1117-3.3 regulator and the - tack to the ground of the 1117-3.3 and another short wire to the ground of the 1117-3.3. Solder the batteries as shown using the case to get the spacing correct. Wrap the 1117-3.3 in a bit of kapton tape to ensure it doesn't touch anything it shouldn't. Slide the battery pack into the case with the circle of foam underneath to ensure the batteries cant touch the tacks and solder the + output of the TP4056 to the input of the 1117-3.3 and the - output to the ground of the 1117-3.3 keeping the wires short. Solder battery + to Bat + and battery - to Bat - on the TP4056 Carefully slide all the above into the case using the 4th and 5th pictures as a guide.Put the top on and test for voltage coming out, it should be about 3.0v from a fully charged pack. If no voltage is present plug the charger in to reset it and retest. It should look something like the last picture. Check that + and - are coming out of the correct terminals BEFORE connecting to your xbox controller. Once confirmed test it in a controller. If all is well put a little bit of superglue around the edge of the tacks and down the edge of the TP4056 inside the case to ensure they don't move over time and a dab of the corners of the case where the lid meets the case. Check for glue over spill on the center of the thumb tacks and that the glue is dry before using.Enjoy.
