Xbee Enclosure V2
thingiverse
This is a second updated version of my original Xbee enclosure. I've simplified the design by removing the 4-40 tapped holes and created a functional latch on the lid. Additionally, I've added a countersink on the bottom to securely attach a 1/6” thick x 1/2" diameter Neodymium Disc Magnet for magnetic mounting, allowing easy removal of the magnet if needed through an access hole. Four small holes are strategically placed around the box, enabling easy lid removal by simply pushing in a paperclip lightly to release the lid latches. I've also included the Xbee logo for identification purposes. Please note that this design only fits the Xbee XB3-24Z8PT-J with the Sparkfun Explorer board due to its unique size; however, generic explorer boards may be too large. A new version of this box is in development, designed to accommodate larger explorer boards, which will be available soon.
