XaxisClamp

XaxisClamp

I built a 3D printer with an unreliable end-stop set because its clamp wouldn't stay secure on the loose X-axis rod. To solve this problem, I opened up my CAD software and designed a custom clamp that worked perfectly without even needing a screw. I might add one later just for aesthetic appeal. The design fits snugly around the rod but comes into contact with the X-axis carriage ever so slightly. Although it functions correctly as is, filing it down just a hair to get a precise fit wouldn't be out of line. Since my printer operates smoothly even with this clamp in place, you can take confidence that my solution should work for your printer as well. Perhaps one day I'll refine the design further by adding that screw for looks' sake. Nonetheless, this solution has gotten me where I needed to go: producing accurate 3D prints consistently without any hindrances caused by the faulty end-stop set. Wish you a similarly fruitful experience with your own printing endeavors, Rick.
