Following the COVID-19 pandemic, a severe shortage of surgical masks has led to extremely high demand and limited supply worldwide, causing prices to skyrocket globally. To combat this pressing issue, finding alternative solutions becomes imperative. To address the crisis, I developed a 3D-printed respirator that utilizes one-sixth of a standard surgical mask as its filter membrane. The X6 RESPIRATOR has some airflow resistance but is only suitable for individuals with normal cardiopulmonary function who need it for a short period.
