X525 Quad Copter Spring Loaded Landing Gear

This landing gear for the X525 Quad uses a lightweight spring and a 1/4" wood dowel as shafts, with a strand of filament through it (drilled hole allows slight spring compression upon assembly). A 2.5-inch dowell is used, drilled 0.35 inches from the end; flared filament ends prevent slipping. Epoxy secures dowel in place for flight stability. An initial upper section was replaced due to fragility, adding gussets for strength. Version 5 features tapered base design for improved aesthetics.
