X4 750mm Quadcopter
grabcad
Innovative design for an X4 quadcopter (configurable to X8). It uses square tubing for the arms and a 5 degree dihedral, as well as a combination of carbon fiber and aluminium to adjoin the various frame components. Battery is bottom mounted with bias to the rear, and the camera mounting position is in the front, using 12mm carbon fiber tubes 55mm apart. The UAV is designed to use up to 18" propellers. The arms fold backwards, and are held in by 40mm screws coupled with a butterfly nut. The rear arms pivot from the innermost hole, and the front arms from the outermost hole.Any critiques on the design as well as ideas on how I may improve it are highly welcomed. Thanks for your interest!
