The X3 is a resistance band weight lifting system ( https://www.jaquishbiomedical.com/x3-bar/ ) . One flaw in the design is if, when you are doing the lifts, you lift the bar at an angle the bands can become frayed from the edges of the metal plate. This band protector has nicely curved surfaces to prevent band degradation.
