My DIY Solution for the X100 and X100s Lens Cap Replacement Dilemma. I'm still fuming about losing my lens cap within a week of getting my X100s. It's infuriating how easily these things can slip away, only to become impossible to track down. And then, when you finally locate one, the original replacement costs an exorbitant $100! Determined to avoid this hassle in the future, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create my own lens cap replacement. Now, if I misplace it, I can simply head over to Thingiverse, download a new design, and print one out. The convenience is unbeatable. This particular version features a distinctive K on the front – a nod to my personal site, Kumodot. I plan to upload additional designs in the future to cater to different preferences. In testing, this custom lens cap fits perfectly on my X100s, with a smooth finish achieved through printing with ABS.
