X1 Carbon gen9 dock
thingiverse
Do you miss mechanical docks for laptops? This thing is designed for a Lenovo Carbon X1 gen9 with thunderbolt 3 gen2 dock. It takes advantage of the long ridge/foot on the back of the laptop to create a matching trough to sit at roughly the same angle as previously compatible mechanical docks. A tray for the thunderbolt dock both holds the two halves of the stand together (2x M3x25 bolts) and holds the thunderbolt dock at a fixed orientation, adding weight and stability to the setup. Note that only the right half of the stand is provided here, simply mirror across the long axis in your slicer software for the left half. Tinkercad links: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/guUQzikWFra https://www.tinkercad.com/things/5FRTJlTL8RJ I printed the stand with build plate support to keep the inset clean for the tray, ymmv. The corners of the tray are aesthetically (imo) cropped to allow printing at a 45° angle on a 220mm square print bed. *30mm bolts shown
