X-Wing Tournament Tray for Harbor Freight & Stanley Organizers
thingiverse
I've started competing in weekly X-Wing tournaments at my local game store, requiring a more efficient way to organize my squad and accessories. I've discovered that the Harbor Freight and Stanley organizer boxes are perfect for this purpose, offering ample space to fit all my tools within a compact package. The trays measure 165mm x 160mm, easily fitting into a 3x4 bin grid in either box type. The only difference between them is depth, so I've designed two card accessory trays: one for the Stanley organizer (40mm tall) and another for the Harbor Freight box (48mm tall). These templates are simple to remove by pressing down on the end of each one, causing the opposite end to pop up in the air. They're compatible with standard cardboard templates and most laser-cut plexi templates. Unfortunately, they don't stack well with the new plastic template released by FFG; however, if you'd like these trays, please provide the thickness of your template, and I can create additional trays that will accommodate it. Each tray requires eight 6mm x 3mm magnets, which should be glued in place using a thick cyanoacrylate adhesive. Ensure all magnets are oriented in the same direction to enable stacking and secure holding. The ship base tray may necessitate the use of supports during printing.
