X-wing Power FX S-foils (1997 version)
thingiverse
Here is the rewritten text: I designed these spare S-Foils for the Kenner X-wing Power FX, a legendary model from the 1997 lineup. To make them printable in ABS, it's crucial to use this material since the three prongs that connect to the ship need some flexibility to snap into place on the wing studs. Buckle up - cannons are right around the corner! Here are my recommended print settings: Rafts: You can print with or without rafts; I don't see much of a difference either way. Supports: Use supports when necessary, as this design relies heavily on them. Resolution: Print at a .2 mm resolution for smooth finishes and crisp details. Infill: Go for an infill density of 25% to get the perfect balance between strength and print time. Additional Tips: Print with supports and use infill as needed; your prints will thank you! How I Created This Design I relied heavily on the original wing design as my reference point. Using a caliper, I measured everything accurately before setting up the model in PTC CREO 1 software.
