X-Wing Miniatures - Ship Numbers and Target Lock Tokens
prusaprinters

These tokens and markers are designed to resemble the official cardboard ship numbers and target lock markers provided for the X-Wing Miniatures (v2) tabletop game.

If you're like me then you have a selection of numbers from the core set plus a random assortment of other numbers from various expansions resulting in duplicates and missing numbers. Worse still, some only have one target lock while other numbers came with two to allow for those upgrades that let you hold multiple locks. Made even worse with Epic Battles arriving and involving more ships you may find yourself needing a lot more numbers to fly those big ship lists.

While you can print these in a single colour the resulting markers and tokens will be difficult to read. As a result these tokens and markers have been designed with height-based filament changes in mind. To achieve results similar to those depicted in the photos, use the following colours for the specified layer ranges. I recommend printing at 0.1mm resolution to allow for this. The ship number markers are 2mm high while the target lock tokens are 2.5mm to allow for the additional red detail.

0.1-0.5mm black (recommended to match front of token, though can be any colour if you want to save a layer change)

0.6-1.0mm colour of circle (white, black, or other)

1.1-1.5mm colour of number (black, white, or other)

1.6-2.0mm black

2.1-2.5mm red (Target Lock Tokens only)

The provided files are numbered up to 20, though if there's demand I can look at making more. There's also two versions of each of the 6 and 9 tokens - one with and one without an underscore to help differentiate. To print a complete set I recommend at least 2 copies of each number in each colour along with two copies of each lock token in each colour. Variants with red/green/blue colours can be printed as required by using appropriate filaments for the 2nd and 3rd colour changes. Due to the number of colour changes I recommend printing in large batches, 30 or more tokens should fit comfortably on any size print bed.

I strongly recommend printing the top layers of the target lock tokens red as I am informed that they qualify as red tokens for the purposes of some Pilot / Upgrade effects.
