X-wing game dials box

X-wing game dials box

Box creation is now complete, thanks to a tutorial that guided me through building compartments to hold movement dials for the X-wing miniatures game. The box takes shape as it prints, and with these dimensions, I can store both dials (which will fit loosely) and small bases along with sticks. The base and assembled sticks are stored in the same compartment, with the stick placed diagonally. My preference is to set this arrangement up this way, but you're free to experiment with different layouts. This design could also be used to create a box for storing small bases and sticks by adjusting the base dimensions and setting a second row percentage to approximately 15% to make space for the sticks. In this case, I would size the dial to match the length of the stick so that the lid can be securely closed. Updates: Edit 3/7/16: The issue with the lid guides has been corrected. Edit 4/22/16: Since no further changes will be made to this design, the work in progress notation is being removed.
