X wing crit reminder counters
thingiverse
John created custom reminder counters for his friends, designing several prototypes before deciding to use a 3D printer. He tweaked the designs in Sketchup and produced a set of stl files that can be printed using single-color or dual-color settings. The stl files require the base.stl file to be loaded first when printing with a single color, and they are included in a zip file along with other design files. The thing files are optimized for two-color printing and are also available in a separate zip file. A combined crits file contains all the counters laid out on it, but John notes that it may be challenging to print due to his previous experience with alignment issues and blobs forming on one side of the prints. He suggests adjusting the print settings accordingly. The included counters feature various reminders such as pilot skill, console fire, skip attack, and white maneuver gets stress. John encourages users to provide feedback or share photos of their printed creations and invites them to explore his other X-wing printing projects. Print settings used by John include a CTC dual printer with no rafts or supports, a resolution of 0.2mm, and an infill percentage of 20%. He notes that he used PLA material and had the bed heated during printing. When printing multiple counters together, users are advised to ensure good adhesion between the parts as they can pop off easily. John recommends using a glass bed with extra pritt stick applied for improved results.
