X-UAV Mini Talon Parts v3
thingiverse
ABS and PLA are not stronger than properly glued plywood unless they are substantially thicker and heavier, so there is no need to design and print the wood center structure. This simple Gear Deck fits the stock structure of the Mini Talon perfectly. It has four deck clips that are threaded for a 3mm x 10mm stand-off and a deck piece with slots and holes for passing wires or wire ties. A complete setup includes: 1x Gear_Deck_v1.stl 2x Gear_Deck_Clip_v2.stl 2x Gear_Deck_Clip_Mirror_v2.stl 4x M3 x 6mm Screws 4x 3mm Flat washers 4x M3 x 10mm nylon Stand-offs After all pieces are printed, cleaned up and the four clips tapped, assemble the deck in the plane without stand-offs and keep screws loose. Add a little glue to each clip where it contacts the wood then gently tighten all four screws making sure all pieces stay straight and square. Let the glue set-up then it is ready to load up with your gear and add the stand-offs! Note: If you desire a cushioned deck, replace nylon stand-offs with rubber anti-vibration stand-offs.
