Update/Attention! September 26, 2016 It appears there are two distinct versions of the GWS S125-1T servo specified in this project. One features a 23-tooth spline, while the other boasts a 25-tooth spline. To utilize the coupler in this project, you must obtain the 25-tooth version. Furthermore, the 25-tooth servo bears a "Made in Taiwan" label and comes equipped with a black pulley, whereas the 23-tooth servo features a "Made in China" label and includes a white pulley. Notably, both boxes are identical. One source for acquiring the correct 25-tooth servo is eBay, where you can find it at: http://www.ebay.com/itm/162092738102?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Update - All files updated - August 9, 2016 This second set of Mini Talon parts is based on the cover from the v1 parts and incorporates a servo carriage to securely hold a GWS S125 1T servo for a full 360-degree pan. There are two versions of this new cover: one features just the servo, while the other includes a bracket for a Surveilzone HS1177 or an HS1184 FPV camera. I have made some improvements and added to the GWS version pieces. I dislike suspending the weight of a camera plus mounts and other gear on the end of a single servo shaft due to the stress and forces this imposes on the servo shaft, especially during poor landings. The solution? A servo coupler and bearing plate both available from ServoCity.com. This transfers all the stress off the servo and creates an extremely solid pan platform. The servo coupler is a 6061 Aluminum piece featuring a spline for either Hitec 24t or Futaba 25t. The Futaba coupler fits the GWS servo perfectly. In total, the coupler, bearing, bearing plate, and stand-offs add approximately 11g. In the picture, you will see nylon stand-offs which I have replaced with aluminum. I modified the Mobius mount plate to enable threading the power and video wires down the coupler tube. I also added four 3mm holes for wire tie points. You will need to make a 2mm x 4mm vertical slot in the coupler tube below the bearing if you want to thread the wires. Parts for Servo only: Front_Deck_Cover_plain_GWS_v2.stl GWS_Bearing_Plate_v2.stl GWS_Servo_Mount_v3.stl GWS_Mob_Mount_Short_v6.stl or GWS_Mob_Turret_Mount_v3.stl Parts for Servo plus FPV camera: Front_Deck_Cover__nose_cam_GWS_v2.stl GWS_Bearing_Plate_v2.stl GWS_Servo_Mount_v3.stl.stl GWS_Mob_Mount_Short_v6.stl or GWS_Mob_Turret_Mount_v3.stl HS1177_Cam_Mount_v2.stl or HS1184_Cam_Mount_v3.stl The extra tabs on the GWS_Servo_Mount_v1.stl are designed to increase glue area for strength. I prefer having the FPV cam in the nose and the Mobius on the pan as I have a camera switch, and the Mobius is more slippery in terms of drag. Plus, I get an excellent recording of looking behind and around :).
