This is for the Reprap Guru Prusa I3 V2. I customized this design for T8 rods. You can buy Amazon-Anet Lead Screw Rod and nut, 345mm 8mm, on Amazon. The factory ships with 5mm rods. This custom design fits 8mm rods and sets them 17mm apart. Simply replace the rods and the X-carriage from the factory with the ones linked here since the factory one only holds 5mm rods. I used this for mine and printed the 17mm one. Smooth X-axis for Prusa i3 with Lead Screws can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1103976. This design is a combination of Prusa i3 lasercut frame z axis leadscrew remix, which is available on thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1559915, and Z Top Plates with leadscrew bearing, also available on thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1369178. After making these changes to your printer, don't forget to open the Arduino software and run the configuration_h file from your Marlin Firmware through sketch_feb Arduino. Find and replace values in the printer so that it can calculate the right travel for the new 8mm rods. // #define DISTINCT_E_FACTORS (default axis steps per units (steps/mm) #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNITS {80, 80, (ChangeValue here to 400, my personal setting), 90}
