Picatinny Rail for the Zuru X-Shot Chaos Meteor off-brand Nerf Rival Pistol The Picatinny rail replaces the decorative top rail on the pistol, providing a sturdy platform for mounting accessories. The printed design is oriented diagonally at 30 degrees to enhance strength by crossing the shear lines of the teeth. However, if you're confident in your print's layer adhesion and don't want to use large supports, simply rotate the model down 30 degrees to a horizontal orientation. Two versions are available: 'Normal' and 'Wide Tolerance'. The Wide Tolerance variant features a flat top face that is within the tolerance range for Picatinny standards. This version is specifically designed for use with cheap red dot sights found on Amazon, which interface better when using this rail. In contrast, the Normal rail seems to work better with more expensive optics. Note for MP Select Mini users: If you have one of these printers, you'll need to rotate the model diagonally to fit it on the print bed. Be aware that some MP Minis may have skewed axes, causing parts to shift in length by up to 0.5mm depending on orientation. Edit (9/28/2019): A misalignment with the blaster shell was fixed, and several overhangs were chamfered for a cleaner print. The size of the iron sight was also increased. Update (10/17/2019): It was discovered that the reference spec used for Picatinny standards was incorrect. The design has been updated to meet the correct specifications, and the rail is now up to standard. Additionally, the front sight was chamfered for safety, and the rail was lowered slightly. Update (10/18/2019): A new Wide Tolerance Variant Rail was added to the collection. Update (12/5/2019): A new Minimal Rail with a groove cut down the center was introduced, allowing for a smaller front sight.
