The X-Scissor Connector is a straightforward system designed to join two containers via a weight-activated mechanism that operates a scissor-like device. This innovative design relies on cams to apply upward and downward force on the "scissor" arms, utilizing the weight of the container for leverage. The heavier the load, the greater the force applied to the scissor, which in turn counterbalances and clamps through the arm to secure the sides of the container's corner castings. To release the system, springs between the fixed shaft and scissor arms are spiraled onto the "scissor" shaft, working in conjunction with normal extraction forces to move the arms into a "release" position. An optional feature allows for permanent locking at the top of containers, negating any need for intervention. The X-Scissor Connector is highly reliable and efficient due to its simple design and complementary force application.
