X-Rite Display Calibrator Protective Case

I designed this custom fit case to safeguard the X-Rite or ColorMunki display calibration hardware.\r\nhttps://amzn.to/39G5XtE\r\nhttps://amzn.to/344LJIU\r\nhttps://amzn.to/2R7O0xR\r\nhttps://amzn.to/2R6wz0q\r\nhttps://amzn.to/346xT8T\r\nhttps://amzn.to/3dQhmup\r\nhttps://amzn.to/39EQASq\r\n\r\nIt will keep it dry and dust-free as well. Just insert a desiccant pouch into the cord compartment. I printed in three sections...\r\n1. Lid\r\n2. Base\r\n3. Hinge (made using the parametric hinge customizer here: https://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=2187167)\r\n\r\n\r\nBecause the customizer makes the hinges quite large, I increased the hinge tolerances to be a bit looser fitting and then reduced the size of the hinge in Simplify 3D to 27mm x 62mm before slicing. It took some effort to break the hinge loose, but I carefully worked at it for a few minutes immediately after the print finished so the plastic was still warm and less brittle. Eventually, it started to move and now it hinges smoothly. I attached the hinge using CA glue so no screws were needed.\r\n\r\nIf you want to use the hinge I made, it's in my Things here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3504510 *Remember to reduce the size before slicing to roughly 27mm x 62mm (constrained).\r\n\r\nI'm thinking about making a version with spaces to embed magnets to hold it closed. It was an afterthought, and I may still drill some holes and glue some into the one I made.
