X-Rite ColorChecker Passport 2 Holder

This is a custom-built holder for the X-Rite ColorChecker Passport 2. I utilized a Hillman ¼” Threaded Hammer-In Insert Nut #881675 to enable secure attachment of the holder to a light stand or tripod. Two versions of the holder are included, one featuring a large hole accommodating the specified insert nut and another with a simple pilot hole for users who prefer drilling their own custom hole. If you decide to drill your own hole, I recommend increasing the infill percentage to 100% for several layers to ensure optimal support for your chosen insert. To install the Hillman Insert Nut, I inserted a long ¼”-20 bolt into the bottom of the insert and heated it to approximately 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Donning leather gloves, I pressed the insert firmly into the holder's base until flush. The holder was then inverted so the insert was on top, and a fan was used to facilitate rapid cooling.
