X-Men Badge

Opened by Charles Xavier as a school for mutants to master their powers, the school also supports numerous outreach programs for non-gifted humans. As the de facto headquarters of the X-Men and various other mutant superhero teams over the years, the school has undergone multiple name changes. This pin was created in Blender from the logo featured in the X-Men comics for Charles' school. I've included a small notch at the back to easily attach a standard pin fastener and wear it as a badge. Print this design in any material you prefer. No supports are required, but using 20% fill will result in a sturdy finished product. I printed my copy in ABS and then smoothed the badge with hot acetone. Next, I primed the pin black and carefully painted the top layer in the original X-Men colors using acrylic paint. Once it dried, I applied a matte finish sealer to protect the design, and attached a rectangular pin backing from a local craft store to the rear using super glue. Now you can enjoy your own custom pin badge!
