x-lite faceplate
thingiverse
Protective travel plate for FrSky x-lite. The gimbal holes are 15mm, ensuring compatibility with larger gimbal stick ends, such as those I previously made, and also standard ones. I designed this due to running 18650 batteries, which prevents the x-lite from fitting in its case. Printed with 100% infill, supports at 10%, using PLA at 210C temperature and a bed temperature of 60C. Printing speed was reduced to 50mm/s, and the part cooling fan was set to 50% for enhanced layer adhesion and increased strength. The part is slightly oversized, allowing sticky foam to be applied inside to protect the radio from scratches on the faceplate. Printed in the correct orientation for optimal finish quality. Cleanup requires some effort due to numerous supports, but yields the best results.
