The item covers small end stops on the X axis of my Prusa i3, Sun Hokey 2015. I wanted to keep electronic parts dust-free and this part fits in with my printer's overall skin design. Mounting: Use the existing M3-12 screw as the top anchor, but install it from the opposite side. The hole is tight enough to act as a nut, so no additional fastener is required. For the bottom screw, switch to an M3-16 instead of the standard M3-12. This will ensure a snug fit in the hole, which you'll need to secure with an electric screwdriver installed from the front side. No nut is needed in this case either.
