X-End-Leadscrew

This project is no longer being developed further. I suggest taking a look at this alternative: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3457972. The original design was great, but I wanted to switch to a leadscrew driven Z-Axis, so I remixed the parts to fit 8mm leadscrews available on eBay. The distance from the center of the Z-Rod to the center of the leadscrew is 17mm (I believe this is the Prusa original distance). I made two versions of the X-End for mounting the motor on either the front or back side. Overall, I reduced the size of the parts by 1mm on most sides. The Idler is a remix of "Prusa i3 Hephestos by bqLabs," modified to fit better in the X-End. You'll need two 624z bearings with an M4 screw and a M6 Hex-Bolt for the tightening mechanism. This idler mount prevents z-rods from bending when tightening your x-belt! There are two versions - one for a flat-headed screw and one for a 45deg headed screw, which I recommend using. The first test prints look good and don't need further modifications. Feel free to try it out. Once I've mounted the parts, photos will follow. Important note: If you downloaded the files before September 29, 2016, please re-download them, as they had a critical issue with putting the 8mm rod into the mounting holes.
