I discovered that after installing the X Chain, the extruder end consistently grabbed the filament, resulting in printed products with unwanted defects. To resolve this issue, I began using a spare cord to gently guide the filament towards the back of the printer, ensuring it wouldn't get caught in the chain. Next, I imported the X chain extruder end design from SPWA's work on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1853473). In Tinkercad, I added a box and a torus to create a PTFE-lined pathway for the filament, allowing it to bypass the X chain without getting caught. Please note that this setup is not a Bowden-style system due to the presence of PTFE tubing. UPDATE: To further improve the design, I extended both the X Chain Extruder end and the X axis end by 10mm in Tinkercad. I then obtained the X chain cable holder/guider from user Ryks on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1874100), which successfully prevented the filament from catching the cable chain.
