I built a crank-type spinner for my x-carve z-axis, giving it more freedom to spin. To make it work, I needed a short M4 bolt and one or two washers. The bolt should be able to self-tap into the knob's hole. Later on, I upgraded the knob to a knurled one. This change improved the spinner's overall performance. Then, I made another adjustment by switching to spinner handle 3. It fits more securely onto the nut now.
