X-Carve Z-Axis Cover for 65mm Water Cooled Spindle

I designed a Z-Axis cover to attach securely to the top of the X-Carve using strong 1/4" ball magnets. The design clears my 65mm water-cooled spindle with ease, while two mounting holes accommodate a Koolance no-leak quick release bracket. I've also included a version without holes for those who prefer it that way. I had another Z-Axis cover in the works, but I wasn't satisfied with the knob hole placement and no longer needed clearance for my Dewalt router. Internally, this design has clearance to accommodate a 9mm z-axis belt upgrade, ensuring smooth cuts every time. A bump out accommodates the z-axis limit switch perfectly. The cover fits snugly without magnets, but those strong magnets ensure it stays firmly in place during even the most intense cuts.
