X-Carve with Dewalt 611 Spindle - JTech Front Laser Mount

This is a custom designed laser cutter/engraver mount tailored specifically for the Dewalt Spindle Holder in the X-Carve CNC Machine. The laser head, manufactured by JTechPhotonics, is utilized here. I personally use the 3.8 watt Version, but any head should be compatible (as of September 2017). This setup mounts your laser directly to the center of the spindle mount. However, it does come with a caveat: the dust shoe will fit, but cannot be used in conjunction with the shop-vac hose connected. In designing this mount, slots were employed instead of holes to allow for the head to be moved up and down for fine tuning the distance to the work area. In my instance, the laser was mounted at 2.0 inches from the work surface, leaving sufficient clearance between the work area and the collet. The beam focused perfectly within the factory recommended distance (1 inch to 3 inches).
