I am currently working on a scaled-down mockup of an enclosure for our school makerspace's X carve machine. This 3D model will give me a better understanding of the parts I'll need to build it from either wood or aluminum extrusion with T-slots. I plan to use plexiglass for the windows, making the entire enclosure see-through and allowing us to observe the CNC routing process up close. This design was inspired by various enclosures on the Inventables forum, which can be found at https://discuss.inventables.com/t/x-carve-bench-enclosure/14450. The final dimensions of this enclosure are 60 inches in length, 48 inches in width, and 18 inches in height. This model was created using Tinkercad and can be edited online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/38SyGus1GgP.
