X Carve Dewalt cable holder

This is designed to secure the cable coming off of the Dewalt 611 used on the X Carve, with the cable being too thick to fit through the roller chain, resulting in it hanging loosely off the back of the gantry. The hook and loop attachment was used to connect the cable to the roller chain; nevertheless, a reasonable amount of slack must be maintained around the gantry head for unobstructed movement. A solid modeling program, Fusion 360, was employed to create this design, marking my first-time usage of such software, and I am fairly satisfied with its outcome. Printer Settings Brand: MakerGear Printer Model: M2 Print Setup: Resolution: .2 Infill Rate: 30% Supports: No Rafts: No Additional Notes: The objective of the print was to produce a robust component; thus, four shells (perimeters) were used along with a 30% infill rate. Assembly Instructions Replace two socket cap bolts, each measuring 5mm x 20, that secure the Z axis motor with new 5mm x 25 socket cap bolts. Install the cable holder over the two modified bolts and firmly push it against the rear of the Z axis plate, securing it with 2 5mm nuts and washers. Route the cable through a slot in the holder, and hold it securely using zip ties. Design Methodology The design originated from importing the X Carve layout into Fusion 360, utilizing this imported file as a reference for sketching out and then modeling the cable holder.
