X Carve 9mm Extra Strength Belt Clip

X Carve 9mm Extra Strength Belt Clip

I liked the original design but couldn't shake off a nagging feeling that the belt hook might snap during intense carving sessions, so I decided to beef it up for added security. Next, I thought about reinforcing the top X-axis clips by widening them, and attaching the Y-axis clips directly to the maker slide to provide extra stability. If you own a newer X-Carve model with attached 9mm GT2 Pulleys, you'll need six X 9mm wide idler wheels and three to four meters of 9mm GT2 belts. For those who prefer GT3, be prepared to swap out the pulleys too, along with adjusting the settings. You can either print six beefed-up clips or go for one enlarged X-axis clip and two of each enlarged Y-axis clip. I printed these at 95% in ABS, keeping my fingers crossed that they'll hold up under pressure.
