x-carriage + mount for 5500 mW Laser & e3d v6
thingiverse
Because I wanted to upgrade my printer to a laser cutter, I decided to re-design the x-carriage from dldesign to mount/dismount my e3d v6 or 5500 mW laser easily. Links are provided at the bottom. I am also using an inductive sensor with a 12 mm diameter. Also, I wanted to increase the maximum building height so I shifted the hotend-mount to the top as much as possible. I'm still using the same belt holder from the original design. For assembling you will need: - 12 x M4 screws - 8 x M3 screws - 8 x M3 hex nuts The original carriage can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2077676. The inductive sensor is available at https://de.aliexpress.com/item/M12-4mm-detection-5VDC-NPN-NO-LJ12A3-4-Z-BX-5V-cylinder-inductive-proximity-sensor-switch/32553311139.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.ctsBlO. The 5500 mW Laser can be purchased at https://www.banggood.com/445nm-5_5W-5500mW-Blue-Laser-Module-With-Heatsink-For-DIY-Laser-Cutter-Engraver-p-999283.html?rmmds=myorder.
