X-Axis Linear Rail Carriage Adapter for 3D Systems Cube3

X-Axis Linear Rail Carriage Adapter for 3D Systems Cube3

thingiverse

This is a mount that attaches to the X-axis linear rail carriage of the 3D Systems Cube3. The stock extruder carriage (see the second image) also includes a "belt gripper" that tightens a section of the GT2 belt against the linear rail carriage. Without this "gripper", the belt simply spins and fails to move the carriage. It's probably not very useful on its own, but it can serve as a foundation for whatever extruder mount you want to use on your Cube3. I didn't feel like creating the gripper part from scratch, so I used netfabb to slice that part off of daGHIZmo's model and just imported it directly into OpenSCAD. This mount requires MCAD and GDMUtils, and the included "raw_belt_gripper.stl" model. You can find MCAD at https://github.com/openscad/MCAD and GDMUtils at https://github.com/revarbat/snappy-reprap/blob/master/GDMUtils.scad
